Having succeeded in being appointed Ship’s Surgeon, the Author set sail from Dundee aboard the Whaler Aurora in January 1884. This is his diary. Illustrated with black and white photos. Features a dedication to the Captain from the Author (unverified). Spine a little rubbed, corners bumped.
